Empire Adds Two Rookies to 2019 Roster
ALBANY, NY- The Albany Empire announce that two players have been assigned to the team roster through free agency. Per League and team rules, terms are not disclosed. The free agency signing period for the Arena Football League began on Monday, March 4.
Ngalu Fusimalohi, Offensive Line
Hailing from California, Ngalu Fusimalohi played his college ball at the University of Kansas after transferring from junior college. The lineman began his collegiate career at the City College of San Francisco where he was named First Team All-NorCal Conference on an offense that averaged an incredible 40 points per game. In 2013, Fusimalohi was named Honorable Mention All-Big 12 offensive lineman during his junior season with the Jayhawks in 2013. During both his junior and senior seasons, Fusimalohi was named the University of Kansas’ Offensive Lineman of the Year while starting 21 games for the Jayhawks.
Aaron Tiller, Defensive Line
An Ohio native, Aaron Tiller played collegiately at Southern University and joins his brother, Trae, with the Empire for 2019. As a member of the Jaguars, Tiller was a four-year starter and two-year caption. Tiller earned All-SWAC honors three times during his collegiate career and was named HBCU All-American in 2017. Following college, Tiller worked out with the Tennessee Titans for minicamp. Most recently, Tiller spent time with the Salt Lake Stallions of the Alliance of American Football League.
Darrell Brown, offensive lineman, and Donnie Miles Jr., defensive back, have been placed on Recallable Reassignment.
